Welcome to Team DevilTORQUE Latest News: 20/06/10: Removed all the glass today which took me 3 hours, but no damage or breakages so really pleased. Removed the interior roof lining and interior light bracket and the brackets that are on the rear for the back piece of the rear seat, and flushed them back. Flapped some nasty rubbery substance off the front of the transmission tunnel which put up a fight but got there in the end. Started to sand the last of the interior back ready for prep before painting. Just need to work out where the battery tray, harness mounts, passenger foot rest ect needs to go so it can be put in place before paint. Next job will be to remove the handbrake, and unplug the last pieces of wiring loom. Then some welding for the battery mount, seat belt harness mounts and any old/unused brackets cut and grinded away. Removed the roll cage, dashboard and most of the wiring loom ready for prep, leading up to the interior being painted. 10/05/10: Removed the bonnet, boot, doors, wings and front end today. 01/05/10: Looking over the whole car we found loads of little things that could be improved for both driving and maintenance in general. Its a tough decision but we have decided to not compete this year, and spend the year stripping the car down, improving many parts and the layout and starting next year hopefully strong and ready :) 21/04/10: Checking over the car today we found that it was the bottom end rattling :( So the engine has to come out which ruins any chances of making the first round of the Time Attack series. 20/04/10: After everything seemed to be going well we took the car to the monthly DevilTORQUE meet, and on the way back the oil temperature light flashed on and a slight clicking noise could be heard from the engine. We limped the car back to the workshop and left it for the next day to be checked over. 14/03/10: Ordered a Varley Red Top battery (40), Varley aluminium V40 tray and a Varley V40 battery box today :) 13/03/10: Went back to the workshop today and turned the car over with the same result, removed the plugs which were wet again and drove to SP Autos for some new NGK8's, installed them and the car started fine. Took it for a 12mile test drive (in the rain!) and all is ok, hopefully we can now concentrate on driving the car and upgrading things!!! 12/03/10: After putting all the interior back together I started the car and the same 30amp fuse blew, so took a trip to SP Autos and picked up 4 new ones. Found the shorting wire, replaced the fuse and the car turned over, but failed to start. After removing the plugs we found that they were wet and very black. Dried them off and left over night. 07/03/10: Well Gambit arrived today and after a short time he noticed that the main green ignition fuse under the bonnet was knackered after close inspection, so spent the day putting the interior back together and tidying the wiring as much as possible. Had a little test drive and everything is ok so now we can concentrate on little upgrades for the upcoming season... 28/02/10: Bought a new identical alarm unit and it arrived today. After unplugging the old unit and plugging in the new unit the problem is still there, so that illuminated the chance of the alarm being faulty, time to call in my Friend Gambit (Mark) from the Skyline owners club to take a look... 24/02/10: Removed all the 'excess' wiring today and restored the turbo timer loom ect back to factory, after a full inspection we couldn't find the problem with the alarm so called it a day :( 19/02/10: Removed the Exhaust temperature gauge as it has been faulty since buying the car. After putting the car back together a relay in the alarm is clicking, and doesn't allow the car to be started. Will investigate in the next few days.... 17/02/10: Moved the car down the new DevilTORQUE workshop today, looking forward to getting a few bits done for the upcoming season :) 10/02/10: Sourced a centre dash vent today, awaiting delivery, and that's the dash back in A1 condition :) 08/02/10: Team DevilTORQUE website goes live!
